Are my images uploaded?

No. Images are processed in your browser and never sent to Swoopty.

What exactly is removed?

JPG: EXIF (including GPS, camera, date and thumbnail), XMP, IPTC/Photoshop and comment segments. PNG: text, EXIF and time chunks. WebP: EXIF and XMP chunks. Colour profiles are kept so colours stay correct. Pixels are not recompressed.

Will my photo still be the right way up?

Yes. If a JPG relied on an orientation tag, Swoopty keeps a minimal EXIF block with only that tag.
