Questions

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. This tool runs in your web browser, so the file stays on your device.

Why did my PDF not get smaller?

Compression mostly works on photos inside the PDF. Files that are mainly text, or whose images are already well compressed, may barely change. Swoopty tells you when the result is not smaller and lets you keep the original.

What changes in my file?

Large photos are scaled down to suit the chosen quality and saved as JPEG. Text, vector drawings and links are left as they are. Images with transparency masks keep their masks.
